NextChem is a partner, through Met T&S Management Ltd., in GCB group of companies, a Joint Venture that develops upcycling processes of “near to prime”, post-industrial, post-consumer waste and recycled polymers to obtain high value-added qualified polymer products for specific industrial applications in Kizad, Abu Dhabi.
GCB Polymers is a Joint Venture between NextChem, P2 Polimeri, and Polyme General Trading. The main industrial partner of the project is the company M.Cecchi & Co. with extensive re-processing know-how for more than 50 years in the polymers market. In October 2022, GCB Polymers will start its own production in the plant sited in KIZAD, Abu Dhabi.
The industrial facility processes a dry compounding of “near to prime”, post-consumer, post-industrial waste, and recycled polymers with additives. This allows to obtain high value-added qualified polymer products for specific industrial applications thanks to continuous inspections in the laboratory, which certify the homogeneity of the products and their chemical characteristics.
The main products are:
- Prime grades: PP, HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, LLDPE
- Near to Prime: PP, HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, LLDPE
- Compounding products: PP, HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, LLDPE
