Along with European political decision makers, other CEOs, business organizations, trade unions and think tanks, we are some of the signatories of the Manifesto of the Call to Action Let's meet our ambitions on both sides of the Atlantic to fight against climate change. Through our participation to this call to action we enhance #NextChem’s path to energy transition, contributing at achieving the common goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, and we welcome the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to the return of the United States to the Paris Climate Agreement. We strongly believe that the alliance between the United States and Europe is essential pursue a sustainable transition. Europe and United States together account for about 25% of global CO2 emissions and 40% of global Gross Domestic Product and with common actions we can lead the energy transition. The common goal of all the signatories is to reduce by at least 50% GHG emissions by 2030 (compared to 2005 levels). All together we can build a new transatlantic cooperation, which can accompany the transformation of our societies towards a new model of prosperity.
